VMFA-314 will be the second F-35C squadron to deploy at sea

The U.S. Marine Corps is on schedule to deploy a F-35C squadron aboard an aircraft carrier and will accelerate the purchase of F-35Cs in order to ensure that units earmarked to receive the carrier-borne variant meet their planned transition and deployment deadlines.

USMC might operate F-35B from Dokdo-class LPH

Lt. Gen. Lewis Craparotta, the commander of the U.S. Marine Forces Pacific, has hinted that his service might land the F-35B on board the Dokdo-class Landing Platform Helicopter (LPH) amphibious assault ships operated by the Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN).
