USN orders three more CMV-22Bs
The U.S. Navy has given the Bell Boeing Joint Project Office a $366 million contract for three CMV-22Bs and two MV-22Bs.
F-35 Block IV will have improved maritime strike capability
Joint Strike Fighter Program Executive Officer Vice Adm. Mat Winter said in an interview with Air Force Magazine that the Block IV version of the F-35 will have improved maritime strike capability.

Japan to buy 42 F-35Bs, 18 will be delivered within 5 years
Japan’s newly revised National Defense Program Guidelines and new Mid-Term Defense Program were approved on Dec. 18. The country will go ahead to buy 42 F-35Bs.

USMC F-35Bs will begin training at Iejima Auxiliary Airfield next month
The U.S. Marine Corps has completed the expansion of a simulated Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) flight deck at Iejima Auxiliary Airfield, Okinawa, Japan and will commence training exercises using the F-35B and CH-53 there starting from next month.
