CO of VMM-265 fired
Marine Corps Times reported that the commanding officer of VMM-265 was fired by Brig. Gen. Thomas Weidley, the commanding officer of the 1st Marine Air Wing on Jan. 26.

USMC AH-1Z precautionary landing in Okinawa; 3rd such incident in a month
A U.S. Marine Corps AH-1Z attack helicopter was forced to make a precautionary landing in Tonaki Village, Okinawa on Jan. 23. This is the third such incident involving a USMC helicopter in Okinawa prefecture.
