Thunderbirds and Blue Angels debut the Super Delta formation

(Mar. 02, 2021) The United States Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, “Thunderbirds” and the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, debut a F-16 Fighting Falcon and F/A-18 Super Hornet flight formation known as the “Super Delta” during a joint training evolution over Naval Air Facility (NAF) El Centro.. The formation grew out of a series of joint training opportunities held in 2020 and 2021, and serves as a symbol of the teamwork, discipline, and skill of the men and women of our United States military forces deployed around the globe. Greyhounds and Hawkeyes vacating NS Norfolk

The runway at Naval Station Norfolk will require repaving and the Grumman C-2 and E-2 aircraft will be relocating to NAS Oceana from Mar. 1 to Jun. 30.

An E-2D Advanced Hawkeye assigned to the Bluetails of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 121 launches from Naval Station Norfolk during its inaugural test with the squadron. Japan has been flying P-3Cs over Mischief Reef several times for the past three years

A protest by China over the flight of two Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force P-3Cs near disputed Mischief Reef in the South China Sea in 2018 has brought to light the fact that the maritime patrol aircraft have been flying over the area for the past three years.

U.S. SecDef visits USS Nimitz via CMV-22B

U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III flew out to the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz off the coast of California on Feb. 25 and photos released by the Pentagon shows Austin being flown on board using the CMV-22B.
