Yokota-based CV-22 in Philippine Sea to train aboard USS America

200806-N-NJ919-1113 PHILIPPINE SEA (Aug. 6, 2020) A CV-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft attached to the Air Force 21st Special Operations Squadron lands on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). South Korea’s 2021-2025 defense blueprint reveals plan for light aircraft carrier and indigenous Iron Dome system

South Korea’s Ministry of Defense has revealed its 2021-2025 mid-term defense blueprint today. The ministry says it will start the process to acquire a light aircraft carrier from next year and to develop an indigenous Iron Dome missile interceptor system.

U.S. Navy’s only female Commissioned Flying Warrant Officer has retired

Lt. Amy Blades-Langjahr, only female Flying Chief Warrant Officer ever commissioned in the U.S. Navy, has retired.

Amy Blades-Langjahr from Casper, Wyo., test fires a catapult in the bow bubble on the flight deck aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68).
