France cleared to buy 3 E-2Ds

The U.S. government has informed Congress on the potential Foreign Military Sale of three E-2D Hawkeyes to France on Jul. 6.

NORFOLK, Va. (September 9, 2019) – An E-2D Hawkeye being recieved by the “Greyhawks” of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 120 completes landing procedures at Naval Station Norfolk Monday, September 9. This is the first E-2D Hawkeye with aerial refueling capability to join the fleet, increasing the Navy’s battlespace awareness and integrated fire control — both from the air and the sea. The most spectacular 4th of July flyover took place over the South China Sea

While the Pentagon commemorated the 4th of July with flyovers in Washington, D.C., Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Baltimore. The most spectacular flyover by the U.S. Air Force and Navy actually took place half way across the world in the South China Sea.
