The U.S. Navy has decided to deactivate VFA-101 next year. The squadron is based at Eglin Air Force Base as the service’s initial F-35C fleet replacement squadron.

Japan to revise National Defense Program Guidelines to convert JS Izumo into aircraft carrier
Japan is taking another step towards converting JS Izumo into an aircraft carrier. Media outlets are reporting that Tokyo intends to revise the National Defense Program Guidelines next month to allow the helicopter destroyer to be converted to operated fixed-wing aircraft.
