U.S. warship was given order to prepare for possible strike against N. Korea

Whilst on patrol in the Sea of Japan last month, a U.S. Navy warship received a warning order, or WARNO, to prepare for a possible Tomahawk cruise missile strike on North Korea, Foreign Policy disclosed on Oct. 18.

F/A-18E/F’s IRST21 sensor being upgraded

Lockheed Martin has secured two contracts from Boeing to upgrade its IRST21 sensor system for use on the U.S. Navy’s F/A-18E/F fleet.

RAF pilot was about to launch for bombing mission when his AV-8B caught fire

The accident investigation for a VMA-223 AV-8B that caught fire on board USS Kearsarge last year has been completed.
