Su-33s heading to Syria will employ the SVP-24 targeting system
Izvestiya cited an anonymous Russia defense official as saying that the Su-33 carrier-borne fighter heading to Syria will be equipped with the SVP-24 targeting system that allows it to bomb targets more accurately using dumb bombs.

USS Essex, Wasp to bring F-35Bs to Middle East next year
Head of U.S. Marine Corps Combat Development Command, Lt. Gen. Robert Walsh, told reporters that USS Essex and USS Wasp will be deploying to the Middle East next year and both ships will have the F-35B aboard.
