A storm swept through Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake on Jul. 26 and nine U.S. Navy and Marine Corps helicopters were damaged as a result.

First jet demo female pilot for the Blue Angels

Lt. Amanda Lee makes Blue Angels history as the first woman to fly in a demo jet with the team.

The U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, selected six new officers to join the team for the for the 2023 air show season. Lt. Amanda Lee, of Mounds View, Minn., is currently assigned to the “Gladiators” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 106. She graduated from Old Dominion University in 2013.

Royal Thai Navy chooses Hermes 900
