Boeing awarded $12.1 million for Blue Angels Super Hornet conversion work

Naval Air Systems Command has given Boeing a $12.1 million contract for an engineering change proposal for the “Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron (Blue Angels) Super Hornet Conversion.”

A series of human errors lead to accidental firing of HF-3 supersonic ASM

Taiwan’s United Daily News has seen a draft investigation report into the accidental firing of a HF-3 supersonic anti-ship missile. Investigators concluded that a series of human errors lead to the tragedy that killed a fishing boat captain.

JS Hyuga fires ESSM at RIMPAC 2016

Twenty-six nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft, and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 30 to Aug. 4, in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. Indian Navy Sea Kings bid farewell to INS Viraat on her last voyage

India’s second aircraft carrier INS Viraat left Naval Dockyard Mumbai on Jul. 23 on her own power for Kochi one last time. Sea King helicopters from the Western Naval Command escorted the carrier out of the harbor.
