It has emerged that a Hsiung Feng 3 supersonic anti-ship missile fired accidentally by a Republic of China Navy patrol boat this morning had actually locked-on to a fishing boat and impact the vessel. The captain of the boat – Hsiang Li Sheng – was killed and three others wounded.

RoCN patrol boat accidentally fired HF-3 supersonic anti-ship missile
At 0810 hrs local time today, a Republic of China Ching Chiang class patrol ship ROCS Jin Chiang (PG-610) accidentally fired its Hsiung Feng 3 supersonic anti-ship missile.

RNZN SH-2G(I) to test-fire Penguin Mk 2 Mod 7 at RIMPAC
A SH-2G(I) naval helicopter on board Royal New Zealand Navy frigate Te Kaha will have a chance to fire its Penguin Mk 2 Mod 7 anti-ship missile at this year’s Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise scheduled Jun. 30 to Aug. 4.
