A series of “first-ever” events took place during the recently concluded Neptune Shield 2022 exercise. The Super Hornet from USS Harry S. Truman carried out the first aerial refueling of a Spanish AV-8B and Italian F-35B.

The U.S. Navy has placed an order with Raytheon Missiles and Defense on May 24 to buy Tomahawk Block V cruise missiles and 30 of these missiles will be delivered to the U.S. Army.
The Italian Navy’s destroyer ITS Caio Duilio arrived at Norfolk on May 23 and the warship will join Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 10 during its upcoming cruise.
