Thailand to expand commercial air traffic at U-Tapao naval air base

The Royal Thai Navy has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Transport Ministry to upgrade the commercial airport at U-Tapao naval air base.

Boeing flies new radar on P-8A that will replace the APS-149 LSRS

NAVAIR announced that a P-8A equipped with the new APS-154 Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) radar has made its first flight on May 20.

India, U.S. Navies to discuss design of next Indian aircraft carrier in this month

The top U.S. Navy official on aircraft carrier design, Rear Adm. Tom Moore, will lead a team to India later this month to advice India on the design of its next aircraft carrier.

Mabus wants X-47B testing to continue

U.S. Navy Secretary Ray Mabus said he would like to see Northrop Grumman’s X-47B carry out more testing in the interim while the service waits for the UCLASS program to proceed.
