Royal Australian Navy commissions 725 Squadron

The Royal Australian Navy has commissioned 725 Squadron into service on Jun. 11. It will operate as the training squadron for the MH-60R at Naval Air Station HMAS Albatross.

PLANAF J-11Bs deployed to Bashi Channel for the first time

The People’s Liberation Army Naval Air Force deployed its aircraft to the Bashi Channel, between Taiwan and Philippines, again on Jun. 10. This time the J-11B fighter flew there as well.

South Korea to buy three Aegis systems

Seoul has been given the green light by the U.S. State Department for three Aegis combat systems and other associative equipment including three MK-41 Vertical Launching Systems.
