Northrop Grumman developing E-2D with full “wet” wing for 8-9 hours’ endurance

At the Airborne ISR Conference in London, a Northrop Grumman executive revealed that his company is developing a full ‘wet’ wing of the E-2D.

VX-23 testing new flight control software for F/A-18E/F

A new flight control software for the F/A-18E/F is being tested by VX-23. MAGIC CARPET, an acronym for Maritime Augmented Guidance with Integrated Controls for Carrier Approach and Recovery Precision Enabling Technologies, will allow carrier pilots to focus more attention on maintaining a proper line-up by maintaining a commanded glideslope and angle of attack.
