Five USN DDGs to skip BMD upgrades

The U.S. Navy has decided that USS Howard (DDG-83); USS McCampbell (DDG-85); USS Mustin (DDG-89); USS Chafee (DDG-90); USS Bainbridge (DDG-96) will not receive the Baseline 9C Aegis Combat System upgrade that is required for Ballistic Missile Defense mission.

RAAF aircrew complete basic training in EA-18G

Five Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) aircrew personnel graduated from basic training at VAQ-129 on Feb. 27.

Sweetman: Boeing may have already won Uclass competition

In his latest opinion for Aviation Week, Bill Sweetman, postulate that Boeing has won a classified U.S. Air Force unmanned combat aerial vehicle program and the stealth jet, designated RAQ-25, will be adopted by the U.S. Navy for its Unmanned Carrier-Launched Airborne Surveillance and Strike (Uclass) program.
