Northrop Grumman to develop navigation system for Super Hornet, Growler

Northrop Grumman has been awarded a competitive prototyping contract by Boeing to develop an embedded global positioning/inertial navigation system (EGI) for the U.S. Navy’s F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler aircraft.

JSF office will have one F-35 dedicated to testing helmet issues

Maj. Gen. Christopher Bogdan, deputy F-35 program director, said his office has set aside a single aircraft at NAS Patuxent River for testing the troublesome helmet.

Lockheed Martin close to fixing F-35C’s tailhook problem

Lockheed Martin is closer to fixing the tailhook problem on the F-35C with redesigned components. So far, a sharpened point has been tested and a modified damper will be ready by next summer.

Russian Navy’s Mistral-class helicopter carriers will have 30 helicopters
