U.S. Navy intervenes to assure British on cost of converting HMS Prince of Wales
The United States Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Sean J. Stackley , wrote to the British Navy to assure them that the cost of converting the second aircraft carrier with catapults and arrestor wires will cost less than the £2 billion quoted by officials.
