USS Charleston damaged after MQ-8B crashes after take off

USS Charleston was struck by a MQ-8B after the unmanned helicopter crashed into its side after taking off from the ship around 3:40 p.m., Apr. 26.

USV vector in swarm drone to attack surface target during UxS IBP 21

The U.S. Navy has demonstrated that it can use a swarm drone to destroy a surface target during the recently concluded Unmanned Systems Integrated Battle Problem (UxS IBP) 21 conducted off the coast of California.

UK Carrier Strike Group will participate in South China Sea exercise

The UK Carrier Strike Group will depart next month and the press release from the British government says ships from the strike group will “participate in Exercise Bersama Lima to mark the 50th anniversary of the Five Powers Defence Agreement between Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.”

USN destroys over-the-horizon surface target with SM-6 air defense interceptor

The U.S. Navy successfully hit a surface target with a SM-6 air defense interceptor that was fired from over-the-horizon during the Pacific Fleet’s Unmanned Systems Integrated Battle Problem (UxS IBP) 21 on Apr. 25.
