U.K. to pick vendor for laser weapon demonstrator
Britain will choose a contractor next month to lead a laser weapon demonstration program and a Babcock-led team has proposed fielding a Qinetiq developed laser mounted on the Phalanx CIWS.

Indian successfully flight tested winged reusable launch vehicle
India successfully tested its X-37B-clone, the Reusable Launch Vehicle Technology Demonstrator (RLV-TD), on May 23. The vehicle reached an altitude of 65km before descending at Mach 5 to make a water landing in the Bay of Bengal.

U.S. Army’s High Energy Laser Mobile Test Truck can destroy UAVs, quad-copters and even laptops
The U.S. Army’s Space and Missile Defense Command brought its High Energy Laser Mobile Test Truck to Fort Sill, Oklahoma in April and the test bed was able to shot down “a large number of UAVs and quad-copters” plus a laptop.
