Russia has tested hypersonic cruise missile

Russia has carried out the first test of its hypersonic Zircon cruise missile. The weapon is slated to be fitted on the fifth-generation nuclear-powered Husky-class submarines.

Lockheed Martin’s CEO was quoted as saying at the company’s media day that the aerospace giant is “now producing a controllable, low-drag, aerodynamic configuration capable of stable operations from takeoff to subsonic, transonic, supersonic and hypersonic, to Mach 6.”

F-16 launched micro-UAV from flare dispenser

The Pentagon’s Strategic Capabilities Office opened its doors to Washington Post and they played a video showing how the F-16 and F/A-18 were able to deploy micro-UAVs from their flare dispensers.
