Chinese agency acknowledge existence of DF-41 ICBM
The first official acknowledgement of the existence of the DF-41 ICBM has been uncovered. The Shaanxi Province Environmental Monitoring Center published a progress report for Jun. 6-13 and item 13 of the report stated an environmental assessment of the missile facilities had been carried out.

U.S. State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said China actually tested an anti-satellite missile on Jul. 23.

China carried out land-based missile interception test
The Chinese government announced it had carried out a land-based missile interception test and the objectives of the test were achieved.

DARPA selects three teams for XS-1 spaceplane program
Three teams have been awarded contracts under Phase 1 of DARPA’s XS-1 spaceplane program. Boeing, working with Blue Origin; Masten Space Systems working with XCOR Aerospace; and Northrop Grumman with Virgin Galactic will now develop concepts for a vehicle that can fly 10 times in 10 days and exceeding Mach 10 in flight.
