Taiwan MND dismissed report that it has abandoned research on ballistic missile

Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense refuted a media report that the Taipei has decided to abandon the Yunfeng ballistic missile program as a goodwill gesture towards mainland China.

Israel’s new Ofek-11 reconnaissance satellite not working as expected

Israel sent its newest reconnaissance satellite, Ofek-11, into space on Sept. 13 using its indigenous Shavit rocket from the Palmachim Air Base on Sept. 13. However, within hours, the satellite transmitted back home that it had developed some sort of malfunction.

New ICBM to cost American taxpayers at least $85 billion

The DoD’s chief weapons buyer Frank Kendall told U.S. Air Force Secretary Deborah James in a memo on Aug. 23 that a new intercontinental ballistic missile to replace the Minuteman III will cost at least $85 billion to develop and field.
