Russia to develop new air-launched high-speed UAV based on Tu-143
Russia will start research into a high-speed unmanned aerial vehicle that is launched from an aircraft. To start off, researchers will use the Tupolev Tu-143 unmanned reconnaissance aircraft from the 1970s as the basis.

U.S. Army shoot down UAVs again using the Bushmaster cannon
Engineers from the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Center have carried out the final demonstration of Enhanced Area Protection and Survivability (EAPS) program. This time the 50mm Bushmaster cannon shot down two Class 2 UAVs on Aug. 19.

Pakistan cleared to buy ScanEagle
The U.S. government has approved the sale of the Boeing Insitu ScanEagle UAV to Pakistan. The deal is reported to be $10.52 million.
