DARPA wants Predator-class UAV on LCS

DARPA has started a Tactically Exploited Reconnaissance Node (TERN) program to get the industry to come up with a Predator-class medium-altitude, long-endurance UAV that can fly and recover back from small ships such as the Littoral Combat Ship.

ATLANTE UAV makes first flight

The ATLANTE Unmanned Aerial System has made its first flight at Rozas airfield in Lugo, Spain on Feb. 28. The entire aircraft is designed by the Spanish aeronautical industry.
