The Russian Strizhi (Swifts) aerobatics team celebrated its 20th anniversary on May 6 with a new air show at the Kubinka airfield near Moscow.
First SBIRS launched into orbit
The U.S. Air Force’s first Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) satellite was successfully launched into orbit on Saturday, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida by a Atlas 5 rocket.
The SBIRS is designed to replace the old Defense Support Program (DSP) constellation.
