Mark Thomson from Time wrote that six F-22s were in UAE when tensions flared in Libya. Twice the aircraft were made ready to deploy over Libya.

North Korea completing ‘runway through mountain’ air base

For years, North Korea has been building a runway that goes through a mountain near the east coast city of Wonsa. Much progress has been made since 2002, a new runway has been added and a bridge is being constructed to link both runways.

RAAF to buy fifth C-17

Australia has signed a Foreign Military Sale agreement with the U.S. government to buy a fifth C-17 for the RAAF. Australia will take delivery of the aircraft in August.

LRIP of EP-3E Spiral 3-configured aircraft approved

L-3 Communications has been approved to begin low-rate initial production (LRIP) of the U.S. Navy’s EP-3E Spiral 3-configured aircraft.
