United States approves potential billion-dollar boost to Polish air power

The United States Department of State has greenlit a trio of potential Foreign Military Sales (FMS) packages to Poland, significantly bolstering the nation’s air defense capabilities.

California Air National Guard Master Sgt. NATO scrambles Swedish Gripens for the first time

Swedish fighter jets marked a significant moment in their integration with NATO on Mar. 11. Following Sweden’s official accession to the alliance on Mar. 7, Swedish Air Force Gripen multirole fighters participated in their first visual identification (VID) mission as part of the NATO Air Policing mission over the Baltic Sea region.

Cause of 2023 Miyakojima JGSDF helicopter crash remains elusive

The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) continues to grapple with the unsolved mystery surrounding the tragic UH-60JA helicopter crash that occurred on Apr. 6, 2023, off the coast of Miyakojima, Okinawa. The accident, which claimed the lives of all ten personnel on board, including Lieutenant General Yuichi Sakamoto, commander of the 8th Division, remains the deadliest involving a JGSDF aircraft.
