ESSM Block 2 LRIP contract is out
Raytheon has secured a $190 million low-rate initial production contract for ESSM Block 2 missiles.
First flight of Brazilian Gripen E
The first export Gripen E, 39-6001, has flown for the first time on Aug. 26. To be delivered to Brazil, the jet flew from Linköping, Sweden for 65 minutes with test pilot Richard Ljungberg at the controls.

Boeing delivers its last C-17 to India
The last C-17 to be produced by Boeing has been delivered to India on Aug. 26. The Indian Air Force’s C-17 strength is now at 11 aircraft.
