Ukraine lost another Su-27, pilot died

A Ukrainian Air Force pilot was killed on Dec. 15 when his Su-27 crashed while returning from a routine flight to its base in the northern region of Zhytomyr.

Bulgaria’s PM says he favors buying the F-16

Bulgarian premier Boyko Borisov disclosed on Dec. 14 that he favors buying the F-16 to replace the country’s MiG-29s.

TASS: Vietnam’s Spyder air defense missile system is unreliable

Russia’s state-run TASS news agency says an anonymous source within Vietnam’s Defense Ministry has said that the country’s Spyder air defense missile system is regularly breaking down.

Hungary orders 16 H225Ms

The Hungarian Ministry of Defence has ordered 16 H225Ms that are equipped with the HForce weapon management system.

The H225Ms selected by Hungary will be equipped with state-of-the-art communication capabilities and will be used for transport, combat search and rescue, and special operations missions.

Poland exercises option for 4 M346s

Back in March this year, Poland signed a contrac to buy 4 M346 advanced jet trainers, the contract includes the option to buy another four aircraft. Poland has now decided to exercise its option for those four jets.
