New tail art for Alaska ANG C-17

A Boeing C-17 #00-0185 has been give a new tail art by the Alaska Air National Guard to signify the association of the ANG’s 144th Airlift Squadron and the active service 517th Airlift Squadron.

Members of the Alaska Air National Guard’s 176th Wing and the Regular Air Force’s 3rd Wing witnessed the unveiling of a new tail flash on the C-17 Globemaster IIIs assigned to the 176th Wing’s 144th Airlift Squadron on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Oct. 1, 2018. USAF orders 360 JASSM-ERs

The U.S. Air Force has placed a $390 million contract to buy 360 360 JASSM-ER cruise missiles from Lockheed Martin.
