USS Ford to be protected by ESSM Block 2

The U.S. Navy is now preparing to install defensive weapon systems aboard its newest aircraft carrier – USS Ford – and the ship will be protected by the new RIM-162 Evolved SeaSparrow Missile (ESSM) Block 2.
