Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told the Diet on Jan. 22 that the Japan Self-Defense Force has flown protective mission for U.S. military aircraft.

USAF deploying new variant of GBU-57
Capt. Emily Grabowski, a U.S. Air Force spokeswoman, has confirmed to Bloomberg that the GBU-57 has gotten a fourth upgrade and the new variant is being deployed in the service.

USMC AH-1Z precautionary landing in Okinawa; 3rd such incident in a month
