Airbus Helicopters says it has demonstrated the ability to fire laser guided rockets (FZ275 LGR from Thales) with its new H145M platform at the Älvdalen test range of the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration Flight test Centre.

Lockheed Martin has been given a contract by the U.S. Navy for two high energy lasers. One set will be installed aboard USS Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) in FY 2020.
