F/A-18Cs being phase out at NAS Oceana
The U.S. Navy is preparing to transition all remaining F/A-18Cs stationed at NAS Oceana to the F/A-18E/F. Members of the public are invited to two meetings end of this month to discuss and make comments on a draft environmental assessment of the swap.

Taiwan says Chinese Y-8G electronic warfare aircraft entered its ADIZ
Taiwan confirmed a report by Liberty Times that a Chinese GaoXin-3 Y-8G electronic attack aircraft entered its Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) along latitude 27 degrees north on Aug. 13.

Ex-RAF Lockheed TriStars returning to the skies again as civilian-owned tankers
Tempus Applied Solutions (TAS) announced on Aug. 14 that it has acquired six ex-Royal Air Force Lockheed Tristars and three of them will be used for air-to-air refueling (AAR) operations.
