Global Times: China will soon send aircraft and ships to U.S. territories

In a commentary on May 27, Global Times said Beijing will soon be able to send ships and aircraft to U.S. territories in response to Freedom of navigation (FON) operations conducted by the Pentagon in China’s territories.

Saab hopes Croatia will start fighter competition soon

An executive from Saab said Croatia has been taking a close look at the company’s Gripen fighter and he hopes that the country can start a competition sooner rather than latter.

North Korea test-fired indigenous surface-to-air missile

North Korea says Heron UAV entered its airspace 4 times

North Korea’s Korean Central News Agency reported that a South Korean Heron unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) had entered its airspace on four occasions.

Nimitz CSG to be deployed in Western Pacific, joining Carl Vinson and Regan CSGs

The Pentagon has decided not to dispatch the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group (CSG) to the Middle East and the ships will be deployed in the Western Pacific instead.
