No payouts for JLENS incident, claimants can sue U.S. Army, Raytheon instead

The U.S. Army has determined that it does not have to compensate anyone whose property was damaged when a Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System (JLENS) aerostat broke free on Oct. 28.

VMFA-122 will replace VMA-311 as the third F-35B squadron

12 F-22s deployed to Australia

Twelve F-22s are being deployed to RAAF Tindal in Northern Australia as part of the Enhanced Air Cooperation Initiative under the U.S. Force Posture Agreement.

Two United States Air Force F-22 aircraft arrive at RAAF Base Tindal under grey skies and rain in the Northern Territory, ahead of the first Enhanced Air Cooperation activity in Australia. *** Local Caption *** The first group of USAF F22s arrived at RAAF Tindal ahead of the first Enhanced Air Cooperation activity in Australia under the US Force Posture Initiatives. The F22s will be located at RAAF Base Tindal and are the largest and longest rotation of fifth-generation aircraft to visit Australia to date. The F22s will conduct combined training activities with the Royal Australian Air Force's 75 Squadron F/A-18A/B Hornets along with ground assets and personnel.

RAF to disband No. 15 Squadron next month
