Lockheed Martin still keen to have Aegis on board LPD-28

Almost a year after proposing to have its Aegis system installed on board the U.S. Navy’s next San Antonio-class Amphibious Transport Dock, Lockheed Martin says there are “some chatter and interest” coming from the Navy on that effort.

Raytheon hopes to turn Tomahawk Block IVs into anti-ship missiles when USN recertify them

Some of the Tomahawk Block IV cruise missiles in the U.S. Navy’s inventory are reaching the end of their 15-year warranty period. Raytheon hopes to give those missiles new capabilities when the service puts them into a recertification program to extend their life to 30-year.

First USAF Reserve-led F-35 base will be at NAS Fort Worth JRB

Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth has been Davis-Monthan Air Force Base; Homestead Air Reserve Base, Florida; and Whiteman Air Force Base to be the preferred location for the first Air Force Reserve-led F-35 base by the U.S. Air Force.
