The Tu-214R spy plane that Russia deployed to Syria in late July has return home on Dec. 9, tracking data from Flightradar24 shows.
Special Forces variant of NH90 still under discussion
NH Industries is still talking to existing customers of the NH90 troop transport helicopter (TTH) about the possible launch of a dedicated special forces variant, Vincent Dubrule, president of the NHI consortium said.

Su-34 will be getting new weapons, EW system in next few years
Zvezda, a television network run by the Russian Ministry of Defense, reported that the Sukhoi Su-34 fighter-bomber will be modernized in the next few years and the jet will be getting new armament and electronic warfare systems.

U.S. supplying components to keep Taiwan’s MIM-72A working
The Pentagon announced on Dec. 9 that Madison Research Corp. will supply 450 thermal batteries, 466 rocket motors, 150 safety and arming devices, and 248 warheads for Taiwan’s MIM-72A Chaparral air defense missile system.

China complained that JASDF F-15s fired flares close to its warplanes
China’s Ministry of National Defense says that on Dec. 10, its military aircraft was on a long-range training mission to Miyako Strait and two Japanese F-15Js came along and fired flares close to its warplanes.
