RoKAF to shutter 3 air bases

South Korea’s Ministry of National Defense disclosed on Oct. 18 that it plans to shut down the air bases at Gwangju, Daegu and Suwon.

Skipper of LPD-17 said “crew performed flawlessly” during attack

Seoul mulls leasing spy satellite from Israel

South Korea heavily relies on the United States to provide intelligence data gathered from space. With its indigenous spy satellite program facing delays, Seoul is considering leasing a spy satellite from Israel.

India, Russia to extend range of BrahMos

During the recent BRIC summit in Goa, India and Russia is said to have sign an agreement to extend the range of the BrahMos by doubling it to 600 km.

Pakistan Air Force Wing Commander killed after ejecting from Mirage

A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Mirage fighter crashed near Karachi’s Musharraf Colony area on Oct. 18. The pilot, identified as Wing Commander Fayyaz was killed after ejecting from his stricken aircraft.
