The Swiss Air Force has canceled the annual Axalp air exercise and public aerial demonstration out of respect for three of its pilots that died while on duty this year.

It has been disclosed that the Obama administration added a “declaration of concern” into the draft notification of the sale of F-16 fighters to Bahrain.

The official said the procurement is needed “to meet a requirement specified in Flight Plan 2028 to “detect, intercept, and neutralise” any perceived threat in its exclusive economic zone (EEZ).”
