Klimov organized a launch ceremony on Sept. 15 for its new TV7-117ST turboprop engine that will be the power plant for the Il-112V light tactical transport.
The U.S. Navy has identified VFA-147 as the first squadron to transition to the F-35C in 2018. The announcement was made on Sept. 10 at the annual Tailhook Association convention in Reno, Nevada.

The Flying Tiger Historical Organization is trying to bring a C-47 from Australia for display at the Flying Tigers Guilin Heritage Park & Museum in China. The aircraft’s left engine failed after departure from Bali, Indonesia and they are now stuck in Surabaya. They need to raise funds to have a replacement engine shipped to Indonesia.
