A KC-135 tanker crew with the Illinois National Guard’s 126th Refueling Wing was honored with the Hoyt Award in August for their role in helping shepherd a crippled A-10 over hostile territory to a safe landing in northern Iraq this April.

An Indian Air Force MiG-21UM two-seat fighter went down in Rajasthan’s Barmer district on Sept. 10.
The Russian Ministry of Defense released a video of its Su-27s participating in the Kavkaz 2016 exercise in the Black Sea. These are probably from the same unit that intercepted a U.S. P-8A earlier this week.
Homeland Magazine is running an online petition to have the retired U.S. Navy Capt. E. Royce Williams awarded the Medal of Honor.
