Russian Su-34s pound ISIL in Syria from Iranian airbase

Russian warplanes have carried out the second consecutive air strikes in Syria using the Hamadan airbase in western Iran, this time the Su-34 fighter bombers were utilized to hit ISIL targets in the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor.

B-1, B-2, B-52 simultaneously overhead Guam

A U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress, B-1 Lancer and B-2 Spirit fly over Guam after launching from Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, for an integrated bomber operation Aug.17, 2016. Pentagon thinks USAF has underestimated cost of new ICBM program by billions of dollar

The U.S. Air Force’s plan to replace the LGM-30G intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) with a new missile has run into issues at the Pentagon as the Department of Defense thinks the flying branch had underestimated the cost of developing the new weapon by billions of dollars.

USAF to restructure 57th Operations Group to focus on CAS integration

British F-35s to be armed with updated ASRAAM

Royal Air Force (RAF) and Royal Navy F-35B fleet will be armed with an updated version of the MBDA ASRAAM heat-seeking air-to-air missile, the British Ministry of Defense announced on Aug. 16.
