The CEO of Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd (KAI), Ha Sung-yong, said he will resign from his post if the company’s T-50A jet fails to win the U.S. Air Force T-X jet trainer competition.
The U.S. Air Force activated the 63rd Fighter Squadron on Aug. 1 at Luke Air Force Base. The unit will be responsible for training F-35 pilots for Turkey.

A photo of the final moments of a J-15 that crashed on Apr. 27 shows the aircraft on final 14 seconds before the pilot lost control of the jet. The Landing Signals Officer is said to have give a rating of 3 out of 5 for the approach. It was pilot Zhang Cao’s last landing of the day.
