Red Flag 16-1 is being held at Nellis Air Force Base from Jan. 25 till Feb. 12. Joining 24 U.S. Air Force squadrons are four squadrons each from the Royal Air Force and Royal Australian Air Force. That’s more than 130 aircraft and 3,000 personnel participating.

Armenia’s Defense Minister did not deny reports on Su-30SM purchase
Speaking to the press on Jan. 26, Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan did not deny recent media reports on plans to buy the Su-30SM fighter from Russia. He also declined to shed more light on the subject.

USAF’s first woman fighter pilot to take command of 57th Wing
Col. Jeannie M. Leavitt has been nominated to take commmand of 57th Wing at Nellis Air Force Base, concurrently, she is also nominated to be promoted to Brigadier General.

U.S. Forces Korea to deploy MQ-1C in event of war in Korean Peninsular
United States Forces Korea (USFK) told reporters that the MQ-1C UAV will be deployed by the 2nd Infantry Division in the event of a war on the Korean Peninsula.
