Red Tails hope to land F-35A mission

187th Fighter Wing is hoping to switch from the F-16 to the F-35A at the end of this decade. The Alabama National Guard unit has the oldest F-16 fleet in the National Guard inventory, said Col. Randy Efferson, the commanding officer of the unit.

MiG-31 crashed, fleet grounded

The Russian Air Force has grounded all its MiG-31 fighters after one of them crashed in Krasnoyarsk Territory on Jan. 25. Both crew members ejected safely.

South Korean Defense minister calls for review of THAAD deployment

F-35 to appear at RIAT, Farnborough

The U.S. Marine Corps is planning to send the F-35B to this year’s Royal International Air Tattoo and Farnborough Airshow in the United Kingdom this year, Lt. Gen. Jon Davis said.
