Dutch F-16s landed at Schiphol airport for the first time

A pair of Dutch F-16s landed at Schiphol airport for the first time on Jan. 26. The pilots were there to test out air traffic control procedures.

South Korea to bring forward deployment of AH-64E from 2018 to May this year

South Korea’s Ministry of National Defense has decided to start the deployment of its newly-acquired AH-64E attack helicopters from 2018 to May this year.

Japan to form new air wing in Okinawa using 2 F-15J squadrons

For the first time in 50 years, the Japan Air Self Defense Force (JASDF) will form a new air wing. The Ninth Air Wing will be based at Naha airport in Okinawa.

Bahrain in talks to buy a batch of F-16Vs

A Lockheed Martin official told Flight Global that Bahrain is close to making a decision to upgrade its F-16 fleet to the V configuration and simultaneously procure a batch of newly-built F-16Vs.
