Each year on the first day of January, Taiwanese will gather at Chihsingtan Beach in Hualien County to view the first sunrise of the year. And the RoCAF will send their F-16s to do a flyover at the beach as the sun rises.
Canada was able to make its Cormorant fleet available for search and rescue duties for extended periods at one or more operating bases thanks to spare parts it bought from the canceled VH-71 program.
